EECA (The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) is a New Zealand government agency  that encourages, promotes and supports energy efficiency, energy conservation and the use of renewable sources of energy. As part of their initiative to support decarbonisation of the country’s commercial building sector, EECA engaged NDY to author a comprehensive guide for building owners and facility managers to navigate this transition effectively.

The handbook serves as a foundational resource for individuals under the Sector Decarbonisation Programme NDY co-branded with EECA on this initiative and collaborated with the Facilities Management Association New Zealand (FMANZ) to promote the Sector Decarbonisation Programme to align our efforts and spread awareness on decarbonisation opportunities with industry professionals.

Through a multidisciplinary approach encompassing sustainability, BIM, electrical, hydraulics and mechanical engineering services, the guide offers a clear path towards reduced carbon emissions and electrification.

The decarbonisation advisory handbook serves as a cornerstone to the future of New Zealand’s commercial built environment and demonstrates a commitment to a sustainable and greener future.
