Circular Quay Renewal Investigations
Sydney’s Circular Quay — one of Australia’s iconic landmarks — attracts millions of visitors every year, but while most people admire the view, they are unaware of what lies beneath.
John Benstead recently presented at ESUC 2020, a virtual conference held as part of Singapore Geospatial Week to showcase the latest ArcGIS solutions and case studies from Singapore and around the world. In his presentation John looks at a landmark investigation by Norman Disney & Young in which they meticulously documented all underground assets for the first time in Circular Quay’s 174-year history leveraging BIM-GIS integration, geotechnical, geophysical, asset condition investigation and point cloud capture.
As part of the conference John and the project team prepared a detailed case study on the project. You can view the case study here.
