Norman Disney & Young were appointed as building services consultants for this 105,000sqft. new build scheme comprising 85,000sqft of office space and 20,000sqft of A1/A3 retail accommodation.
The building replaced the three separate buildings which previously occupied the site.
The project provided the client, Derwent London, with a high quality flexible office building which is robust and energy efficient. NDY worked extensively to incorporate flexibility, redundancy and efficiency to the scheme whilst maximising floor to soffit heights and net lettable space.
The building incorporated an innovative chilled ceiling cooling solution which provides outstanding levels of thermal comfort for the occupants whilst maintaining a clean plasterboard sofit in the office areas. NDY have conducted extensive research and market testing to arrive at this leading-edge solution, a key feature of which was the slim profile which enhanced floor-ceiling heights improving the quality and value of the office accommodation.
