Matthew Taylor

Matthew has a track record of leading and delivering digital/smart building projects in Australia, the UK and across EMEA. He brings multi-disciplinary experience across digital/smart buildings, control systems and previously MEP designs with the ability to balance technical, commercial and operational factors.

Matthew works closely with tech clients seeking to push the boundaries of digital/smart buildings, which has led to close familiarity and input into emerging standards within the space.

He is pro-active in understanding his client's priorities and values and identifies solutions aligning with those values. Matthew applies his multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience to improve coordination within the wider design team and encourage dynamic problem solving.

With an interest in technology and understand the future of digital buildings, Matthew pursues an approach of continuous learning including an interest in programming and completing courses such as a Stanford University’s online Machine Learning course.

In recognition for his continuing hard work and achievements Matthew won the David Norman Young Engineer award in 2019.
