The town, in partnership with the East Fremantle Football Club, East Fremantle Bowls Club, East Fremantle Croquet Club and local community groups, are jointly redeveloping the existing East Fremantle Oval (EFO) facilities into a new integrated community, sport and leisure precinct. It is a high-profile project with various stakeholders and public interest.

Home to West Australian Football League team East Fremantle, the precinct is being developed with high importance placed on quality facilities for athletes, support staff, hospitality, retail and the public.

The project will include a new multipurpose clubhouse building, resurfaced AFL oval, croquet and bowling fields, croquet building, amenities building, half-court basketball, skate zone, carparks and more.

The new clubhouse building comprises:

  • player change rooms, gym and treatment areas
  • player lecture room
  • East Fremantle Football Club staff offices and conference areas
  • grandstand and viewing deck
  • hospitality and function spaces
  • commercial kitchen
  • café
  • cold shell commercial tenancy
  • large commercial gym, spin class area and multipurpose group room
  • bowls office
  • public amenities areas
  • circulation spaces
  • storage and plant areas.

Currently in construction, NDY’s engagement on the EFO project extends from concept design through to the end of defects liability period. It is programmed for completion in early 2024.
