The Position

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer responsible for the delivery of structural engineering services throughout the project lifecycle. You will be able to work independently as well as part of multi-discipline project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering technically excellent engineering designs for, and consultancy services to our clients, and working collaboratively with other structural offices and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver an exciting portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Performing a senior design engineer role on projects.
  • Mentoring and facilitating the technical development of more junior resources.
  • Assist with bid preparation and submittals as required.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships on projects and winning new work from these relationships.
  • Driving and supporting a culture of safety and quality within the team.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Structural Engineering professional with a relevant tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering or similar
  • Significant experience at a Senior Engineer level, ideally within a consulting engineering background
  • Experienced with structural investigations of existing structures as well as construction phase inspections if required.
  • Flexible professional to work on projects from minor reviews to major structural developments.
  • Previous responsibility across the full project lifecycle, including project delivery
  • Chartered Engineering status is desirable, or eligible to apply for CPEng/NER
  • Understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards and demonstrated capability in the design of RC/PT concrete, structural steel and mass timber
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as RAM Concept, RAPT, Spacegass, ETABS, SAP2000 or similar.
