Chris has over 8 years' consulting experience as a fire safety engineer. During this period, he has formulated practical and cost-effective performance-based fire engineering solutions for various types of developments, including shopping centres, residential towers, healthcare and aged care facilities, offices, and industrial buildings.
Chris believes in a holistic approach to fire safety to ensure building designs provide occupants safe means of escape, allow for fire brigade intervention, and have adequate structural fire resistance.
He has extensive experience in producing fire engineering documentation for stakeholders and approving authorities. Chris is skilled at communicating complex concepts to non-technical parties.
His expertise also includes producing fire and smoke models and evacuation models using software such as Pyrosim/FDS and Pathfinder.
