The Kandama Village is located North-West of Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The camp has both single and two storey accommodation and transportable modules. Each module consists of four rooms with an ensuite in each accommodation room, which can house some 1344 personnel.
To support the personnel the camp comprises: administration, dry mess, wet mess, laundries, toilet blocks, ice machines, gym, ambulance, EPCM buildings.
NDY was responsible for the lead hydraulic design, which incorporated:
- Potable water reticulation
- Raw water onsite storage
- Raw water treatment to a standard compliant with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines
- Fire hydrant and fire hose reel reticulation services
- Fire water onsite storage.
