The Position

We are looking for:

  • A confident and experienced Revit modeller to join our Canberra team
  • A knowledgeable draftsperson with design drafting skills across one or more MEP services is preferred
  • An intelligent team member who is willing to expand design skills across all core building services (M,E,F&H) with a keen interest and willingness to develop and constantly up-skills in new software and modelling tools to assist with innovation in a rapid-changing industry
  • A fine eye for detail and ability to create highly coordinated, clash free models utilising BIM360, Navisworks, Revit etc
  • An individual who can effectively communicate with internal and external design teams, clients and outsourcing partners
  • An enthusiastic individual who enjoys the challenge of working on multiple projects at a time.

Attributes

Ideally you will have:

  • At least 5+ years of Revit drafting/modelling experience
  • Strong self-motivation and personal drive
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate/Expert skills with AutoDesk Revit including associated toolsets
  • Basic/Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work autonomously in a team environment
  • Strong accountability, ownership, and pride of work
  • Strong attention to detail to deliver a consistent, quality output
  • Strong time management skills to be able to prioritize work, whilst also having a willingness to work on multiple projects at a time within a fast passed office environment.

Your Offer:

You will use your experience to deliver projects within the allocated time limitations and work closely with the engineers to ensure high quality deliverables.

Design drafting experience is preferred but can also be expanded on the job if there are current limitations. You will be given opportunities to continue your professional development through internal and external formal and informal training.

As an experienced Revit modeller you will be a strong team player and work with the various members of the BIM/CAD team as well as the wider engineering team to meet deliverable deadlines.

You will communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will actively coordinate internally with our multidisciplinary team and likely externally with other consultants to deliver the best outcome for the client.

Training and Development

NDY has a strong focus on the development of our staff and training will be a key element of this development whether on internal or external training courses. We will develop a career plan for each staff member that will focus on core elements of your role to provide you with a clear progression in your career path.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects from healthcare facilities through to commercial office developments and retail developments, both as new build and refurbishments.
