On 31 August 2023 NDY experienced a cyber incident.
In managing this incident, our IT Security team worked quickly to isolate and contain the incident. The team was able to rapidly remove the threat and allow normal operations to return.
We have undertaken a thorough investigation and will continue to monitor and investigate further. Our investigations have not identified any project information being accessed or extracted nor did we find any evidence of a notifiable data breach under the Privacy Act (Cth) 1988. We are however notifying clients who have requested to be informed of such events in accordance with their nominated procedures.
As an organisation we take cyber security very seriously. Our systems are designed to protect our clients’ valuable data and in this instance our security protocols achieved this aim. However, we will take the opportunity to learn from this incident to ensure we continue to play our role in demonstrating best practice.
