The One Clanwilliam redevelopment for Hibernia Real Estate Group Limited is a 36,700 m2 refurbishment that includes 2 basements, a ground floor and 7 upper levels, with modern, flexible workspaces, health and wellness facilities, a townhall event space, social hubs and many landscaped green areas. Hibernia’s vision was to deliver a premium, future-ready building that meets SmartScore and WiredScore Platinum certifications – an ambition NDY supported through tailored, high-performance digital design. Working closely with Hibernia through workshops and coordination meetings, NDY developed a suite of integrated systems built on a unified ICT platform.

These included a hybrid ICT network infrastructure, occupancy sensing, video conferencing systems, wireless presentation, speakers and wireless microphone, background music system (BGM) and dynamic digital signage. A key feature is the immersive townhall space, designed for events and presentations, with discreetly integrated AV systems. LED video and digital signage screens in key public areas display branded content, digital art, and live media, enhancing user engagement.

The project’s complexity centred around integrating advanced digital systems into a highly aesthetic environment without compromising functionality.
Particular attention was given to the townhall space, where projection equipment, speakers and acoustic treatments were carefully designed to preserve architectural quality while delivering premium performance. In parallel, NDY worked closely with other project partners to ensure ICT, AV and Smart systems were fully coordinated across all building services.

From performance specifications to final installation reviews, every design element was developed with Hibernia’s goals in mind – delivering technical excellence, user comfort and long-term flexibility.

Smart technologies like occupancy sensors and AV automation contribute to energy efficiency and reduced operational costs, while digital signage promotes sustainable practices and tenant engagement.
