Adelaide

Adam is the South Australian Office Manager. He has over 16 years’ experience in the design and documentation of electrical and communications/security services for large multi discipline projects. This covers the following sectors: retail, sports, infrastructure, health, education, residential and commercial buildings within Australia and the Middle East.

Auckland

Pedro is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 15 years of experience gained from his project involvement across the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia. Pedro joined NDY in early 2022 as New Zealand Structural Leader based in the Auckland office, he is responsible for the strategic direction, management, and growth of the Structural Engineering team at NDY in New Zealand.

Neil joined NDY in 1987 as an electrical draughtsman and has been involved in the design/documentation of multi-disciplinary projects within the Auckland office in the intervening years, while managing the CAD section and IT infrastructure within the office.

“This appointment is welcome recognition of my long service and dedication to NDY. It also recognises the importance I place in delivering technical excellence on every project.”

David is a highly experienced, multi-disciplinary team leader with extensive client, managerial and commercial experience. David has comprehensive experience in electrical and mechanical design, coordination and management within an engineering office, as well as extensive knowledge of site commissioning, main contractor, FM and client operational requirements.

“Working during the past three years in Auckland has been challenging, particularly because of the pandemic, but NDY has been understanding and kind. The chances for personal improvement and the opportunity to nurture other likeminded engineers is greatly appreciated.”

Amy joined NDY in 2006 as an accounts officer. A member of CPA Australia, Amy has been in various roles in the finance team. She is responsible for project accounting and management leadership for NDY NZ Offices as business manager. Amy has a passion for data, especially for succinct and meaningful information for users.

Shelly is a key member of the Auckland and NDY Global Sustainability Group. She’s driven to ensure client requirements are met across the three pillars of environmental, social financial and sustainability. She believes in challenging the performance of our built landscaping from identifying energy and carbon saving strategies through to facilitating spaces which promote occupancy health and wellbeing, and offer us, the occupants, a net positive experience from the buildings in which we reside.

I thank NDY for my recognition and recent appointment within the business. Louis leads NDY’s vertical transportation offering in New Zealand, specialising in the design, inspection, and building integration of lifts and escalators. His highly regarded technical skills come from over 18 years of local and overseas industry experience in pivotal roles that have encompassed the full life cycle of lift and escalator equipment.

Nigel is a senior electrical engineer and has worked in the NDY Auckland office for over 15 years. He has extensive experience in the design, documentation and investigation of electrical, security and communications services for commercial buildings, educational institutions and aged care facilities gained through extensive work experience in the building Industry.

Jarrod joined NDY in 2015 in his final year of completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. He has over 7 years of experience as a hydraulic engineer and has worked on a various number of projects including Commercial Bay, Ormiston Town Shopping Centre, Wakatipu High School, Parewaitai Care Home and Sylvia Park Office. Jarrod has experience in retail centres, schools, aged care facilities, office blocks, residential apartments and hotels.

Cathy, a Revit MEP expert in building services, joined NDY in 2015 as BIM Manager. She has extensive years of Revit MEP modelling experience on a wide range of projects both locally and internationally covering commercial, education, residential and healthcare buildings. She is also a qualified engineer in the fields of mechanical engineering and information technology with experience in STEPS modelling for pedestrian movement in stations, and IES modelling for ventilation and heating/cooling load calculation. Cathy also has extensive teaching experience from China as a lecturer in Die Set Design and Manufacture.

Brisbane

Mathew is the NDY Gold Coast representative and is a senior fire services engineer with extensive knowledge in the full project design cycle. With a background in both contractor and consulting environments, he has gained a large amount of experience in the residential, health, commercial, education, retail, transport and industrial sectors, with a key understanding of the built construction environment.

“I am very grateful to receive this appointment to Associate Director, and I appreciate all of the opportunities that I have been given at NDY across multiple offices. I would like to thank all of the people and teams that I have had the pleasure to work with over the years, and I look forward to continuing to deliver some great projects in the years ahead.”

Phil has wide-ranging industry experience in building services with a focus on electrical systems. Phil leads the Asset Performance team and works almost solely in the existing commercial and retail building environment for owners, operators and facility managers.

“My appointment as Associate Director has been warmly received and I thank the Brisbane office management and leadership team for their formal acknowledgement of my contribution toward the NDY Brisbane team and the wider NDY group. 2022 marks 19 years with NDY which comprises stints in both Melbourne and the Brisbane office. Through this time, I have had the benefit of learning from many current and past NDY employees, and these have helped shape who I am today, and I thank them for this. “

Greg is a senior electrical engineer at NDY and has significant experience across a number of market sectors including sports, retail, commercial offices, defence, interiors/fitout and entertainment. Greg currently leads the civic market sector in the Brisbane office.

“I’m thankful for the recognition and also to all those who have supported and mentored me along the way. I’m truly excited for the next chapter of my career at NDY and the new challenges that lie ahead.”

Premek has over 18 years mechanical services experience across the research, university, health and commercial sectors. He is also experienced in all phases of design including engineering master planning, design documentation services during construction, cost estimating, value engineering and ESD.

“I am humbled and extremely grateful for the recent recognition. I wouldn’t be where I am now without the help of my colleagues, managers and the opportunities I have been given over the years and I look forward to another year of growth, challenges and professional development.”

As a key contributor across both the fire protection and fire engineering disciplines, Alexei is responsible for undertaking fire engineering assessments and developing alternative solutions, as well as the design, documentation and review of fire protection services installations. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards whilst maintaining client satisfaction.
Hayden is an enthusiastic electrical engineer and has exposure in the electrical, communications, and security services fields. He has worked on a wide variety of projects on new and existing assets, including commercial offices, sporting venues and residential towers. Hayden’s strengths lie in his holistic approach to project design providing high quality solutions for the entire lifespan of the project.

Andrew has experience working in all disciplines on a range of different projects including residential, commercial, industrial, educational, health and tenancy fitouts. Andrew is passionate about using his Revit modelling skills to produce coordinated, clash free models and high quality designs.

Sarah is a senior mechanical engineer at NDY and has significant experience across a number of market sectors including education, sports, health, retail, commercial offices and interiors/fitout. In her current role, Sarah is responsible for the design, documentation and subsequent quality inspections of mechanical systems, inclusive of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as specialist systems. She prides herself on working closely with key stakeholders and delivering quality solutions that meet and exceed both industry best practice standard and client expectations.

I would like to thank the Brisbane mechanical team and wider office for the support and opportunities while navigating the challenges of the last couple years. As Asset Performance Team Leader in the Brisbane office, Ryan’s responsibilities include overseeing projects, improvement of team strategies, as well as technical design and project delivery.

After joining NDY Brisbane in 2015 with practical experience from a contracting background, he’s recently re-joined the Brisbane team in 2022 following a four-year placement in the NDY London office during which time he project led major building refurbishment projects in the UK market. Ryan brings a breadth of experience to his projects from his diverse experience across different markets.

Canberra

Andrew O’Brien has worked with NDY on a range of projects across Australia from both the Perth and Canberra offices. With a background in mechanical engineering, Andrew has a wide range of experience across the project sectors, from small retail fitout projects to large commercial base building towers. Other areas of experience include commercial office fitouts, laboratories, health care and residential.

“I have been lucky to work with a great group of people across NDY but particularly in Canberra and Perth, thanks to all that have supported me over the six years I’ve been with NDY. I am very grateful for this appointment and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead with NDY.”

London

Tom is a highly motivated smart buildings engineer with experience in the design and delivery of digitally innovative projects ranging from corporate and residential portfolios, to flagship retail locations. Tom aims to work closely with clients to understand all aspirations and ultimately improve end-user experiences through well considered and user-centric digital solutions.

Andreas is a Chartered Engineer, BREEAM (New Construction) Assessor and a qualified LEED AP BD+C. He is an experienced energy modeller with an excellent understanding of complex HVAC systems and has successfully undertaken operational energy modelling studies for key projects.

Melbourne

Lisa is responsible for the management of the Existing Buildings group in NDY’s Melbourne office, which includes overseeing projects and development of team strategy. She is also responsible for the delivery of larger multi-disciplinary projects within the Existing Buildings group.

Nic joined NDYLIGHT as team leader for the Melbourne studio back in 2004 after spending almost 3 years with Foster and Partners in London. Having now been with the team for 18 years, he has worked on a wide variety of projects in Melbourne as well as the rest of Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe. Working across all aspects of lighting design from workspace, to commercial towers, public realm, hospitality, leisure and daylight, Nic has developed a broad range of skills that can be beneficial to any project or client. Further to lighting design, Nic leads the NDYLIGHT team and assists in services coordination as part of the development of the lighting to a space to help achieve the desired visual and functional outcomes for a project, while ensuring it can be physically realised within the bounds of the required codes as well as the client’s budget.

Sacha is the group Revit coordinator for NDY and has over 16 years’ experience in the industry. Sacha has been involved in 3D CAD and building services modelling and delivers a skill set and expertise to all projects undertaken.

“I am honoured to receive this recognition and want to thank all the supportive people I’ve been able to work with. I thoroughly enjoy working at NDY and working with excellent people on great projects.”

Joining NDY in 2011, Gabriel has a decade of acoustic design and vibration analysis experience on a wide variety of projects. His experience covers numerous sectors including commercial office buildings, residential, health, defence, education, retail and entertainment.

Joining NDY in 2008, Tze has gained design experience on a wide variety of projects including high rise, commercial, government, education, healthcare, defence, residential and retail developments.

As part of NDY’s Interiors team, Matthew is responsible for the delivery of multi-disciplinary interior fitout projects, including project leadership, oversight, and the design and documentation of electrical systems. Matthew has also led multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and acted as the main point of contact for clients in the retail and residential market sectors.

“I’m very grateful for this appointment, which wouldn’t be possible without the support of my team and the broader Melbourne office. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given and very appreciative to those that have invested their time to mentor and support me, both past and present, to help develop me into the engineer I am today.”

Sharbel’s fascination with light was sparked during his studies at university. Following a 2 year stint as a lighting designer / engineer at a local manufacturer, his passion for lighting grew and in 2018, he joined the team at NDYLIGHT. Sharbel’s experience includes over 7 years as a lighting designer, leading luminaire, and architectural lighting design on a range of retail, sports, public, industrial, and commercial projects both nationally and internationally. Since starting with NDYLIGHT, he has designed and delivered multiple award-winning projects. Sharbel’s knowledge and attention to detail allows him to provide end users harmonious lighting solutions through the marriage of art and science.

Since joining NDYLIGHT in 2018 I have received huge support, mentoring and guidance from the team, both NDYLIGHT and NDY. This appointment would not be possible without them.”

Perth

Geoff is a Chartered Engineer and an AIRAH Member with 15 years’ experience working in projects spanning most areas of Australia. Geoff joined NDY earlier in 2022 and is currently the leader of the Perth Mechanical team. He has worked across a wide range of projects in the defence, healthcare, commercial, residential and industrial sectors, bringing his strong technical focus and desire for innovative solutions to our projects. Geoff also has significant experience in building simulation where he has a passion for building optimisation for best performance and energy efficiency. He works closely with internal team members and is always open to assisting with their career progression.

Sean is a mechanical project engineer. He is involved in the design, development and construction of some of Perth’s largest multi-disciplinary projects. Sean has a wide range of experience in projects in a large range of sectors, from small retail fitout projects to large commercial base building towers. Other areas of experience include existing assets, critical infrastructure, large scale retail upgrades and more.

Sydney

Kevin joined NDY in 2016 having held a number of both financial and business leadership positions across different industries. A Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), Kevin has a wealth of international experience (UK, Continental Europe and Asia Pacific) with a particular focus and passion for professional services and consulting. Based in Sydney as Regional Head of Operations for NDY Australia, Kevin is responsible across our business for driving high performance in our client projects and office results whilst ensuring governance and compliance with both our legal and financial requirements internally and externally are achieved.

Jarrad is an Associate Director and the Education Market Sector Leader for NSW. He has many years of experience in electrical design, consulting, leadership, and management in the engineering field. He has developed in-depth technical knowledge and has led teams to deliver complex projects across the education and health sectors throughout Australia.
During her time at NDY, Liana has been involved in a variety of multi-disciplinary projects as a project leader and electrical designer, with a particular focus on new and existing commercial building and fitout projects.

Zoe leads the Sydney Sustainability team at NDY. With a demonstrated passion and understanding of how places, buildings and fitouts are designed and then operated, she is able to advise clients and project teams on optimal solutions to meet financial and environmental drivers. She works across multiple industry sectors including healthcare, commercial, education and workplace, among others. Zoe has a sound understanding of how building design elements such as building services, acoustics, and sustainable design are integrated.

Greg is an accredited fire protection engineer, holding a Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, with experience in MEP design management. Greg is an active FPAA committee member engaging in the formation of guidelines and standards and is committed to advancing fire and life safety outcomes.

Vancouver

Hassan is a senior project engineer at NDY in Vancouver, Canada with extensive engineering, design and construction experience in commercial, residential, and education facilities. Hassan has strong interest in sustainable/green building technology and has been involved in the design of several internationally recognised LEED certified projects in Canada, Qatar and KSA.

Zohreh (Zoe) has extensive years of experience in the field of acoustics, noise and vibration dealing with building and environmental acoustics, HVAC noise and vibration, testing acoustical quality within building spaces and optimizing various acoustical environment.

Wellington

Hayley leads NDY’s Global Sustainability Group, a team of highly skilled and diverse consultants driving sustainability solutions across the built environment. She is responsible for the management, leadership, and development of the Sustainability team at NDY, ensuring delivery of outstanding sustainability services for our markets and clients, across all operating regions. Hayley also oversees and drives continual improvement of NDY’s ESG performance.
