Auckland

Telma began her career over 15 years ago in the UK delivering earthquake and structural design of special structures for power, nuclear and defence facilities. She moved to New Zealand in 2011 after the Canterbury earthquake sequence to be involved in the post-earthquake response team carrying out building forensics, structural assessments and retrofits, emergency inspections and new building designs. Telma is the Technical Manager for NDY Structures and is based in Auckland.

Shelly runs a team of exceptional sustainability consultants across New Zealand and is a key member of the Auckland executive and NDY global sustainability leadership group. She’s driven to ensure client requirements are met across environmental, social and financial sustainability.

Shelly believes in challenging the performance of our built landscape from identifying energy and carbon saving strategies through to facilitating spaces which promote occupancy health and wellbeing, and offer us, the occupants, a net positive experience from the buildings in which we reside.

Jarrod is a project leader with NDY, responsible for delivering successful multi-service design projects through demonstrated leadership, skill and clear communication with our clients, design team and contractors. Jarrod is also the Hydraulic Section Head for NDY’s Auckland office.

Brisbane

Jennifer is responsible for the design and documentation of electrical engineering services; ensuring client requirements of quality, compliance, function, efficiency, sustainability, aesthetics and costs are satisfied.

Her current role as a senior consulting engineer enables her to provide innovative solutions to clients by combining contemporary, best-practice systems and concepts with traditional electrical design.

Jennifer returns from parental leave in early 2024.

Marce has worked in multiple roles from design and engineering, estimation, implementation and system commissioning of large -scale projects throughout his career. He has a proven track record in technical/commercial proposal documentation, detailed design and application of a practical and proactive approach to project designs to ensure client satisfaction.

He believes in strategic thinking with open communication with clients to achieve project goals on time and within budget.

Dublin

Adam has executed numerous roles successfully within Ireland and the UK. From grassroots level working as an electrical apprentice to being a foreman for a small electrical contractor, he has progressed into roles in both design/project management and construction management for a wide variety of high-tech projects. These include pharma, semi-conductor, waste, industrial, commercial, residential and design of large complex engineering projects.

Adam has gained experience in both site and office-based positions and worked in both engineering and construction practices.

Engineering Commissioning Services

Matthew is a Commissioning Manager and the General Manager of NDY subsidiary Engineering Commissioning Services.

With industry experience in the residential, commercial and mission critical sectors, Matthew has extensive experience in the commissioning of mechanical, hydraulic and fire protection systems and a sound working knowledge for the commissioning of all building services systems.

Prior to joining ECS, Matthew specialised in tri-generation, co-generation and solar thermal systems for a contracting company where he gained practical experience with the design, installation and commissioning of these systems. From this experience, he has gained a sound working knowledge of gas engines, heat exchangers and associated hydronic and electrical systems.

“I am extremely humbled and appreciative of the recognition and opportunities that have been provided to me. I would like to thank all members of ECS for being tremendously supportive over the past 6 years, more importantly the last 2 years as General Manager. I find myself very fortunate to lead and be part of such an experienced and professional outfit.”

London

Steve joined the NDY London mechanical core team in 2020, having previously worked for four and a half years in South Africa on a large range of projects including in the commercial offices, residential and retail sectors.

He has experience in managing all aspects of the project lifecycle in the commercial sector as well as experience in hospitals, retail and conference-type buildings.

“I am honoured to receive recognition from NDY for my efforts. Over the past 18 months I have navigated significant changes in the workplace, leading to many learning experiences. I express sincere gratitude for the unwavering support extended to me. Anticipating this exciting new chapter, I am eager to contribute to the future growth of the business and inspire others throughout this journey.”

Joseph joined NDY’s mechanical design team in 2013 and now forms part of our mission critical team. Since then, he has gained a variety of experience delivering specialist projects of all sizes across a number of sectors and acting as project leader for multi-disciplinary projects under the mission critical team.

Joseph’s design experience includes the successful delivery of projects in the commercial office, healthcare, hotel, residential and mission critical sectors. As part of his time in the mission critical team, he has also contributed to the design and assessment of our client’s new Tier III data centres and continual operation, optimisation and improvement of our client’s existing sites through a sound understanding of the technical detail and project requirements.

Adam is an experienced electrical engineer with a demonstrated ability and history of working in the architecture and planning industry, utilising his problem-solving skills in technical and consulting environments.

Adam has been involved in various projects, from concept to handover, in lead technical engineering and client-facing roles. He has a passion for design engineering and brings a wealth of experience in electrical engineering, project management, multi-disciplinary coordination and building information modelling.

This is a significant career milestone for me and I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the teams in London and globally.”

Alex is the team leader for the interiors team in the London Office, which specialises in MEP design for commercial fitout projects.

He started his career in the construction industry installing HVAC systems, and also has experience across all MEP disciplines, which gives him a practical and holistic approach to services design. Alex has worked on high profile projects across a range of sectors including offices, public buildings, retail, hospitality, residential, education and healthcare.

“I am very grateful for this recognition of my contribution to NDY and thank those that have supported my development in both the Perth and London offices. NDY has given me the opportunity to work with a talented group of engineers around the globe and I look forward to further collaboration and innovation.”

Tim has worked in the building services industry for nearly 40 years as a consulting engineer. He is well versed in providing hands-on leadership through team collaboration, with policy and standards implementation to industry best practices. He is an exceptional communicator focused on developing positive working relationships with clients, colleagues and management teams.

Tim has significant project experience across multiple sectors with additional experience in bespoke highly serviced rooms and labs, which provides solid experience and readily transferable skills to provide an engineered solution to all challenges.

His hands on approach to all stages of design, planning, coordination and quality assurance with full engagement of the client team and stakeholders will assist in delivering a successful project.

Melbourne

Simon has worked on a wide variety of projects including government, commercial, residential, retail, industrial and health. He has been heavily involved in the modelling of fire and smoke and occupant movement to achieve alternate building solutions.

Simon has worked on projects of all sizes and works closely with the design team to achieve required solutions. Other experience includes significant health care audit and hospital work. Simon’s current role as Technical Manager includes developing technical content and ensuring NDY quality standards across the fire engineering group are met.

Corey joined NDY in 2017 as an electrical engineer and has taken a lead role in many correction and commercial projects from conception through to detailed design and construction.

Corey currently leads the Melbourne interiors group which is a high-performance dedicated team focusing on energetic and end user driven commercial tenant fitout and advisory work.

As part of NDY’s Interiors team, Matthew is responsible for the delivery of multi-disciplinary interior fitout projects, including project leadership, oversight and the design and documentation of electrical systems. He has also led multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and acted as the main point of contact for clients in the retail and residential market sectors.

Matthew’s experience extends to audio visual/ICT project delivery, having had responsibility for the design and delivery of multi-million dollar audio visual installations.

Phillip joined NDY in 2014 and has worked in both the Melbourne and Canberra offices. Currently, he is responsible for the management of the mechanical team in Melbourne which includes resource allocation and technical guidance for young engineers.

Phillip is responsible for the design and documentation of mechanical systems; this involves compliance with relevant standards while ensuring client and end user satisfaction.

Kanvin is responsible for the management of the acoustics team in the Melbourne office which includes resource allocation and technical guidance for young engineers.
With his attention to detail and self-motivation, Kanvin has added value to the acoustic team by providing well thought out and quality solutions to ensure client needs are always satisfied.

Kanvin’s interest in acoustics stems from his passion for improving the quality of living and efficient use of the spaces which surround us.

“When I started at NDY as a graduate, I never expected myself to be amazed by the opportunities presented to me… but boy was I wrong. I am extremely grateful to receive this recognition and the support from our team for my journey so far.”

Chris leads NDY’s Victorian health market sector, taking on the responsibility for overseeing NDY’s operations within the Victorian healthcare industry.

Chris has demonstrated his leadership capabilities in overseeing and reviewing large-scale healthcare projects, serving in roles as a project leader and offering invaluable contributions to the detailed delivery process. His proficiency in these capacities underscores his capability to deliver cost-effective, adaptable and effective solutions that align with client aspirations within the healthcare sector.

James is a highly motivated civil engineer with over 10 years of professional experience. He is strongly driven by a desire to apply the most appropriate solution and standards to produce quality civil designs that meet clients’ expectations the first time. His career to date has seen James refining his skills in stormwater drainage design and modelling and road network design to relevant standards.

Sydney

Sath has been involved in the design of hydraulic services for various market sectors including infrastructure, industrial, education, hospitality, health, retail, residential, aged care and commercial. He has worked as a lead hydraulic designer and as a project leader in some of these projects, providing our clients with tailored design solutions for their projects.

I see this as a testament to my hard work and dedication to NDY. I am excited to take on new challenges and contribute to the team in this new capacity.”

As the BIM Manager, Matt is responsible for project coordination, liaising with internal and external clients and subcontractors as well as communicating at all engineering levels within the company.

Matt has a special interest in BIM projects integrating with digital engineering, pushing design boundaries to create something unique and creative, and complex geometries which challenge his mind.

Vancouver

Nathaniel is sustainability and energy lead for the Vancouver office.

With a diverse skillset and a background in physics, Nathaniel uses his analytical abilities to find elegant solutions to complex problems. He has a range of experience in advanced simulation techniques, including thermal energy modelling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling and internal environment assessments for glare, daylight and thermal comfort, as well as a breadth of experience consulting for recognised green rating systems such as LEED, WELL and Net Zero Carbon.

Nathaniel is passionate about using data driven design to help achieve sustainable solutions for the built environment.

“I am truly grateful to be appointed to the position of Senior Associate. It has been a privilege to work alongside the amazing individuals at NDY, particularly in the sustainability group and I look forward to the continued growth of the team, both in Vancouver and globally”

Wayne is a project manager at NDY and brings with him over 15 years of plumbing and mechanical construction experience as a consultant, superintendent, red seal certified plumber and level B gas fitter.

Prior to joining NDY in 2021, Wayne was a mechanical foreman for over 10 years supervising between 5 and 50 employees on specific tasks related to plumbing, gas, HVAC and fire protection. In this role Wayne assisted project management teams in running over $200 million worth of residential, commercial and retail projects in the province of British Columbia, Canada. In his current role at NDY Wayne leads design teams in the successful delivery of engineering designs on a range of project sizes across a variety of building types. He is also heavily involved in the construction phase of projects, where his in-depth technical knowledge is highly valued by clients.

Wellington

In a career spanning nearly 40 years, Crispin has accumulated a wealth of knowledge from his work across Africa, Indonesia, the UK and New Zealand. His greatest skills are coordination, communication and leadership and he prides himself on satisfied clients at the completion of a project.

In addition to the above work, Crispin is also involved in many other areas of the NDY office. He is a part of the focus group, health and safety committee and puts a great deal of work into people and culture.
