Located adjacent to Burswood’s Crown Casino complex, Mirvac’s Peninsula development comprise around 1,250 apartments, townhouses, walk-ups and houses. NDY’s scope, role and involvement provided fully integrated designs for the mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and fire engineering services to Towers 1, 2, 3, Lots 23 and 24 and electrical designs to Tower 5.
Tower 1 comprises 85 apartments,17 floors, 55 metres high, Tower 2 has 119 apartments, 18 floors, 58 metres high and Tower 3 contains 98 apartments, 15 floors and is 52 metres high. All towers have their own pool design, a two-level carpark with ventilation to meet AS 1668 code requirements and penthouses on the top two floors.
Each tower operates on a centralised condenser water loop for serving energy efficient water-cooled package units to each apartment.
As part of the fire engineering service, NDY designed a centralised plant room, pump and tank system with ring main loop to provide fire water services to the towers.
Lot 23 and 24 are adjacent to the golf course, contain 5 floors, 2 levels of carparks 26 and 29 apartments consecutively and a shared swimming pool. The remainder of the site and Tower 5 are under construction. The overall site includes public amenities, a day spa, cafes, restaurant and a sales office.
NDY’s multi discipline design approach and 3D CAD technology are simplifying co-ordination with architectural and structural elements and are realising highly efficient use of plant and riser space.
