The new SAHMRI comprises laboratory and specialist research space providing a world class health and medical research institute within a flagship research facility.
NDY was appointed lead engineering services consultant for the base building and directly responsible for the design and documentation of the project’s engineering services.
Further to our commission as base building engineering consultants, NDY was commissioned as the mechanical and hydraulics design engineers for the levels 7 and 8 fitout works.
The 5,200 m² fitout includes a fully integrated wet lab space on Level 7 consisting of specialist medical gasses, fume cupboards and specialised pressurisation control tailored for the requirements of users. The remainder of the fitout consists of open office areas, general offices, communication rooms, business lounge areas, meeting and video conference rooms.
