NDY was engaged to carry out evaluations of more than 200 properties affected by flooding in Melbourne and regional Victoria, in the aftermath of the disastrous floods of 2022.
Senior structural engineers were required to visit commercial and residential properties that had been deemed uninhabitable by extensive flood damage. NDY played a key role in surveying and conducting structural assessments on the buildings affected by the flooding.
Northrop and the Victorian Government was given detailed site dilapidation reports for each property, specifying defects, habitability issues and suggestions for remediation works to bring the properties back to liveable standards.
