ERM power engaged NDY to design their fitout within the newest of Brisbane’s tall buildings, 111 Eagle Street. It was the intent of ERM Power to reinforce their professional corporate image through their new location.
Covering 2,500 m², NDY provided all services design and was challenged by a number of features of the building envelope, and building operations, whilst maintaining the Green Star requirements of this new building. NDY overcame these issues as a team with close coordination between all involved including the architect, Cox Rayner, ERM Power and contractors alike.
A key component of the design intent was to maintain a clean ceiling, and maximise the view lines from the stunning 52nd floor views over the Brisbane city and river. To achieve this a raised ceiling throughout the feature areas was recommended.
As a new tower on the Brisbane skyline, it was important that 111 Eagle Street represented leadership in sustainability best practice outcomes. It was up to NDY to ensure these benchmarks were achieved with the existing building energy performance initiatives, including automatic sun-tracking blinds, low VA/m² lighting loads, and DALI daylight harvesting control.
