Innovation Place is a 21 level, 25,000 m² leading edge quality office tower at 100 Arthur Street, North Sydney. The building boasts an office environment at the leading edge of current technology, providing enhanced productivity and worker satisfaction.

The mechanical system, which serves the office tower, is a state-of-the-art chilled beam air conditioning system. The final design, which uses a combination of active and passive chilled beam technology, is the result of extensive design development and research in an integrated holistic team environment with the client, architect and chilled beam supplier. This included extensive research of the manufacturer’s capabilities and product testing in Europe. The chilled beam solution reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. It also enhances acoustics and comfort inside the building (air is recycled and there are no recycled contaminants). An important benefit of the mechanical system is its ability to reduce floor-to-floor construction height. This allowed for an extra floor within the height constraints of the site.

Together with a range of technologically advanced initiatives, the building sets new energy and environmental standards not seen before in an equivalent commercial development. Independent modelling of the building services have predicted energy performance in excess of 5 Stars ABGR.
